Is anyone else participating in this event? This is my first attempt and, at the moment, I am still on par with completing my novel (50k words) by the end of November. For those not familiar with it, it's a group that encourages writers to generate 1,667 words a day for 1 month (November). "Winning" the event does not involve any prize giveaways, of course, the real reward is having completed a novel-length work.

The site appears to be international, as you can find your geographical region to join - if you wish. You can also post to a variety of forums and share your story (or read others) about the writing process and related topics. You can also find and add writing buddies to help encourage your writing.

I have found it to be inspiring and hope to have a completed novel that can be polished for submitting to agents later this year. I thought I'd pass this great resource along.
